Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators Since 2009

South East Wisconsin Paranormal Investigation Team (S.E.W.P.I.T.) is a Wisconsin-based paranormal research and investigation team founded in 2009.

For more than 15 years, our team has been dedicated to investigating the unexplained, researching paranormal activity, preserving local history, and educating our community about the paranormal field.

Our mission is simple:

Find the Truth.

We approach every investigation with an open mind, but we don’t automatically assume that something is paranormal. Our investigators believe that good paranormal research starts with asking questions, looking for answers, and considering every possible explanation.

From unexplained activity in homes and businesses to historic locations with fascinating stories, SEWPIT works to document reported experiences and determine what can —and cannot— be explained.

More Than Paranormal Investigators

SEWPIT is more than a group of people carrying cameras and paranormal equipment into dark buildings.

We are researchers, investigators, historians, educators, and people who genuinely care about helping others understand their experiences.

We believe in:

• Investigation

We carefully document reported activity and collect evidence whenever possible.

• Critical Thinking

We look for natural, environmental, technological, and other explanations before calling something paranormal.

• Research

We investigate the history of locations and the stories connected to them.

• An Open Mind

We remain open to the possibility that some experiences may not have an obvious explanation.

• Respect

We treat our clients, their experiences, their homes, and their privacy with respect.

• Community

We believe paranormal research can be a great way to connect people with history and stories of their communities.

Our Approach

We don’t promise that every investigation will produce paranormal evidence.

Sometimes the answer is something completely ordinary— and that’s an important finding, too.

Other times, we may encounter something that remains unexplained.

Either way, our responsibility is to document what we experience, review the evidence carefully, and be honest about what we find.

We aren’t interested in simply proving that a location is haunted.

We’re interested in finding out what is really happening.

Serving Our Community

Over the years, SEWPIT has had the opportunity to investigate numerous locations, meet fascinating people, research local history, participate in community events, and share our passion for paranormal research with others.

We also provide educational content through our social media, public events, and Wicked Darkness with SEWPIT, our paranormal podcast covering ghosts, unexplained phenomena, paranormal history, cryptids, UFO/UAP reports, investigations and more.

Whether you’re a longtime paranormal enthusiast, a history lover, a skeptic, or simply someone who has experienced something you can’t explain, you’re welcome here.

Stay Curious. Ask Questions. Seek Answers.
